Welcome to the website of the Project BIZimpact, an EU funded project aimed to improve the business climate in Croatia by developing instruments for Impact Assessment of the laws nad regulations and to improve information to Croatian business community.
Preparing for accession to the European Union, Croatia is implementing many changes to laws and regulations which will have a significant impact on businesses community. These changes are essential for Croatian firms to overtake EU standards and to be able to compete in the European and global marketplace.
Project BIZimpact in particular aims to help the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and crafts which make up about 99% of all businesses in Croatia. It covers legislative changes in eight key areas:
• State aid
• Public procurement
• Standards for agricultural products
• Standards for industrial products
• Competition policy
• Intellectual property rights
• Environmental protection
• Consumer protection.
